Right here, you can download your favourite Post-Couture pieces in both .ai and .dxf format. On the garment page you’ll also see what size the lasercutter has to be to be able to cut the design. Simply take these files to your local Fablab or Makerspace along with your fabric of choice and get them cut in minutes!
If you want to customize the digital design file, you’ll need a program like Illustrator, Rhinoceros or SolidWorks. If you’ve made a cool design we’d love to hear about it!
Of course, you can also order your garments pre-cut as a DIY kit in our SHOP. We will have it cut at the facility in our network that’s closest to you and have it shipped to you in a neat little package!

Materials
The best materials to use when creating your Post-Couture garments are synthetic or non-woven fabrics. If you’re wondering whether a specific material you have in mind will work well with our patterns or the lasercutter, ask us!
You’ll find the quantities needed within the .zip that accompanies each garment cutting file.
Of course we hope that when looking for materials you also take its sustainability into account. Our friends at Refinity maintain a nice list of webshops for sustainable fabrics here. If you discover any materials you like and that work really well with any of our patterns, please let us know!

Production
Post-couture designs can be lasercut in any Makerspace / Fablab or other facility that offers use of a lasercutter. We encourage you to go out and find one near you!
We also want to build a network of our own, in which we gather places that have experience with post-couture designs and will be able to offer you a little bit more help with your production.
Always check the size of the lasercutter that’s available in a makerspace before you head over there. Some garments require a large cutting surface for large pattern pieces.
